FILIPAY Nationwide Coverage — Routes and Participating Vehicles

Where you can use FILIPAY in the Philippines — buses, jeepneys, trains, ferries, and expanding cooperative coverage across the archipelago.

FILIPAY community event showcasing nationwide transport coverage

FILIPAY is designed for nationwide deployment across the Philippine public transport network. Here's what coverage looks like and how it continues to grow.

Participating Vehicle Types

FILIPAY validators are installed on multiple modes of public transport:

  • Jeepneys — including modernized PUVs under the PUVMP program
  • Buses — city buses, provincial routes, and cooperative fleets
  • Trains — participating rail and light rail integrations
  • Ferries — selected water transport routes

Geographic Reach

FILIPAY deployment spans from Metro Manila and CALABARZON to provincial cooperatives adopting the system. Community events and modernization launches in regions like Cagayan and CALABARZON demonstrate active expansion beyond the capital.

How to Check If Your Route Is Covered

  1. Look for the FILIPAY validator device near the vehicle entrance
  2. Check for "Pay with FILIPAY" signage on the vehicle exterior
  3. Ask your cooperative or visit filipay.online for route coverage updates
  4. Use the mobile app to view nearby participating vehicles

Expanding Coverage

As the PUV Modernization Program progresses, more cooperatives are equipping new fleets with FILIPAY AFCS hardware. Each cooperative launch adds new routes to the network.

Using One Card Everywhere

A single FILIPAY card or app account works across all participating vehicles nationwide. Load once, ride anywhere — no need for separate cards per city or operator.

Multi-Payment Loading Nationwide

Load your account via bank transfer, credit card, or cash at partner establishments — wherever you are in the Philippines. The multi-payment infrastructure ensures you're never stranded without fare credits.
