FILIPAY Card Overview — Your Contactless Commute Pass

Learn about the FILIPAY physical card — NFC tap-to-pay, nationwide coverage, loading options, and how it works on modern PUVs.

FILIPAY card used for tap-and-go fare payment

The FILIPAY Card is the physical contactless payment card at the center of the FILIPAY ecosystem. It's the simplest way to pay fares on participating Philippine public transport.

What Is the FILIPAY Card?

A reloadable NFC (Near Field Communication) card that stores fare credits. Tap it on any FILIPAY validator installed on participating buses, jeepneys, trains, or ferries — fare is deducted instantly.

How to Get a FILIPAY Card

Cards are distributed through FILIPAY partner establishments, transport cooperatives, and official channels. Visit filipay.online for current availability and registration details.

Loading Your Card

Multiple loading options keep your card ready for daily commutes:

  • Bank transfer — Link your bank account for automatic or manual loads
  • Credit/debit card — Top up through the mobile app or web dashboard
  • Cash at partners — Visit authorized loading stations nationwide
  • Family account transfer — Parents can load children's cards from a shared account

Nationwide Coverage

Use your FILIPAY card across all participating vehicles nationwide. As more cooperatives adopt the AFCS during PUV modernization, coverage continues to expand into new routes and provinces.
